Looking for something fun to do with the kids this week? Celebrate Earth Day with activities in Prospect Park, enjoy several interactive storytimes, participate in a LEGO contest that could lead to a pizza party, and some other great stuff to do is coming up in the neighborhood. Details on those events and more:

Disco Time With Yoni
When: Wednesday, April 23, 10:30am
Where: Park Slope Library, 431 6th Avenue
What: Yoni the Puppet leads an interactive storytime with a Hebrew and English music medley.
How much: Free, but tickets required (one per family), so arrive early to get yours.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 LEGO Display Contest 
When: Wednesday, April 23, 4pm
Where: Pacific Library, 25 4th Avenue
What: Build a scene from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 out of LEGOS for Brooklyn Public Library’s display contest for a chance to win a pizza party for the Pacific Branch. Because of the small pieces, this is suggested for kids ages 6-12, and children under 5 should be monitored by an adult.

It’s An Orange Aardvark! Storytime
When: Thursday, April 24, 1pm
Where: Barnes & Noble, 267 7th Avenue
What: Ants and aardvarks and rainbows, oh my! Enjoy the story and then stay for some activities afterwards.
How much: Free!

Preschool Storytime
When: Friday, April 25, 10:45am
Where: Pacific Library, 25 4th Avenue
What: Children ages 3-5 will enjoy stories and playtime.
How much: Free!

Prospect Park Fair
When: Saturday, April 26, 11am-4pm
Where: The Bandshell, Prospect Park
What: Enjoy nature activities at the Pop-Up Audubon, dance to music by DJ Steve Papa, see a performance by Uncle Majic The Hip Hop Magician, play 19th century games and see exhibits at the Lefferts Historic House, meet Brooklyn Cyclones mascot Sandy the Seagull, and more.

A Year With Frog And Toad
When: Saturday, April 26, 1pm
Where: Central Library, Dweck Center, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: The beloved characters hop from the page to the stage in this musical that will get kids jumping with its jazzy upbeat sound.

Earth Day
When: Sunday, April 27, 12-4pm
Where: Audubon Center, Prospect Park
What: Celebrate Earth Day by learning about responsible fishing from the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, cleaning up the lakeshore, learning about birds of prey, and making your own instrument using recycled materials. Plus, enjoy a performance and parade by Bash the Trash.

Ready, Set, Kindergarten!
When: Sunday, April 27, 2:30pm
Where: Central Library, Youth Wing, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: Families with kids ages 3-5 will enjoy stories and activities designed to encourage the development of early learning skills, helping you and your child get ready for school. Families will receive free materials to continue the learning and fun at home.
