Park Slope Rental Roundup: 1-Bedroom Apartments

0

Looking for a new place to call home? We’ve rounded up a bunch of 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartments that are currently available to rent in the neighborhood — take a look at the details, and let us know what you think. Lots of luck in your search!

399 4th Street, Garden Apartment
Price: $3,000
Available: Immediately
Details: This may be the priciest apartment in our group this week, but it’s got a couple things going for it that might make that price worth it. For one, this garden-level unit in a brownstone has an extra room they’re calling a study, which at about 9′x7′ could possibly be used for your home office or a nursery. Plus, right off that room, there’s a door to a patio — though it is shared. There’s a washer/dryer in the unit, but no smoking or pets are allowed. If you’d like to see it in person, there’s an open house on Sunday, June 29 from 12-1pm.

408 8th Avenue, #1B
Price: $2,500
Available: Immediately
Details: The photos show this as a bright and airy apartment (pictured above), which is located in a limestone a few blocks from the F/G at 7th, and there’s enough room in the kitchen for a small table and a couple of chairs. Although the proximity to Prospect Park is appealing, something to consider may be how close you are to the potential Methodist Hospital expansion, the construction of which may start later this year.

439 1st Street, #1R
Price: $2,200
Available: Immediately
Details: Looks like this space has a pretty neat floor-to-ceiling brick fireplace - non-working, but it’s an interesting focal point. What looks like they will work are the all-new appliances in the kitchen, including a dishwasher. Located just off 7th Avenue, you’re about halfway between the B/Q or the F/G lines, and you’re just across the street from the highly in-demand PS 321.

211 5th Avenue, #1
Price: $2,200
Available: July 1
Details: Described as a 1.5-bath, the listing describes a “separate dining room or office” which sounds like a good amount of extra space. They add that the kitchen was recently redone, and the built-in bookcases and tin ceilings provide some cool detailing. No pets allowed, and in addition to having to pay for hot water (and the usual electricity and gas), you’ll have to pony up two months rent as a security deposit.

41 7th Avenue #2R
Price: $2,149
Available: Immediately
Details: Nice mantle and mirror in this space, which is right on 7th and just a short walk to the B/Q station on Flatbush Ave, or the 2/3 at Grand Army Plaza. There are other nice period details, including parquet floors and moldings all over the place. The kitchen doesn’t look huge, but you could certainly make due — though there are also a lot of take-out and delivery options right on your doorstep, basically.
