Not too many open houses this weekend (perhaps due to the subzero temperatures?) but we do have a fairly close little cluster on Sunday afternoon with something for everyone: the modest studio, the cozy one-bedroom, and the spacious two-bedroom. Check them out!
925 Union Street #5G at 8th Avenue
Open House: Sunday, January 27, 12:00 – 2:00 p.m.
This studio apartment is pretty spacious as far as studios go, and it offers a lot of light, a breakfast bar, and hardwood floors. It also offers, for better or for worse, a lofted bed (which the current owner will remove, if preferred). The building is pet-friendly with card-operated laundry, bike storage, and a live-in super. Also, the building has an elevator, which means you won’t be too tired to climb into that bed. Douglas Elliman has it priced at $265,000 ($479 maintenance).
78 Eighth Avenue #3K at Union Street
Open House: Sunday, January 27, 3-4:00 p.m.
This one-bedroom apartment was recently updated with new bathroom and kitchen, complete with subway tile, but has maintained its original hardwood floors and crown moldings. The living room has three oversized windows, keeping the place bright, and the lobby has a pretty sweet fireplace to warm up by. The building features a garden and courtyard, common storage, bike room, and laundry. New Millennium Real Estate has listed t at $425,000 ($682 maintenance).
190 Garfield Place #5D between 6th & 7th Avenues
Open House: Sunday, January 27, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
This one is a doozy. The two-bedroom/two-bathroom apartment has three skylights, which means the place is “flooded with natural light.” The living room features a vaulted ceiling and wood-burning fireplace with exposed brick (pictured above). Its stark white walls are offset by the rich hardwood floors, giving the whole place a modern look. The bedrooms are on opposite sides of the living area, each with their own baths. Plus, it’s on the top floor. No footsteps above you! On the other hand, the listing warns that the kitchen and bathrooms are “in need of some TLC,” so do with that what you will. But, the building is pet-friendly with a central laundry room and part-time super. Worth checking out, at least. Corcoran lists it at $749,000 ($441 maintenance).
