Harmony Playground at Prospect Park closed yesterday for unplanned but necessary repairs to the roof of the adjacent building. The work involves the use of heavy equipment and hot tar and would create an environment unsafe for the children.
The playground, which is near the bandshell between 9th & 11th Streets, will be closed weekdays throughout the duration of the work– an estimated two to four weeks. The comfort station will remain open, and the playground will be open on Saturdays and Sundays.
