The Observer recently reported that filmmaker Rory Kennedy has officially sold her family’s “blandly beautiful” townhouse to “musical powerhouse couple” Robert Lopez (pictured above, on right) and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. The home, located at 33 Montgomery Place, sold for $3.45 million, which is a decent jump from the $1.5 million it cost in 2004. And though we’re sad to see the famed documentarian go, it’s nice to know that an equally exciting talent is stepping in.
If you don’t recognize the names of the new residents, you are likely more familiar with their work: Kristen is active in children’s film and theater, having written and produced the music for 2011′s Winnie the Pooh as well as the music for Finding Nemo: The Musical; and Robert is the Tony Award-winning co-creator of both Avenue Q and The Book of Mormon. Maybe they’ll rehearse in the new place and we can enjoy while passing by.
