If you happened to be scrolling through Craigslist Brooklyn (and why wouldn’t you?) you may have noticed that our very own Park Slope Food Coop was the site of two missed connections.
The first, w4w, talks about a conversation spent deliberating over cookies (“sadly, and as expected, the fair trade version just doesn’t stand up to the classic french one. schoolboy capes are necessary, i’m telling you.”), and the second, also w4w, is a charming plea from one shift worker to a pink-glasses-wearing other (“What is your name?!”). Either could easily work as a romantic comedy meet-cute, so I’m optimistic for both.
Which leads to some questions.
Do single people meet other single people at the Coop? Has this been a well-kept secret? Are they sitting on a goldmine? Should they host events?
From a different angle, do you guys post or check missed connections? Has anyone actually met a person through a missed connection? If so, please share, but feel free to substitute your friend/sibling/roommate for yourself if you don’t feel like owning up to it. (“I would never use Craigslist to meet someone, but my coworker…”)
Regardless, love is in the air. Hopefully both OPs find their connections and fall into happy, fulfilling, gluten-free relationships.
