I don’t see all that much free clothing on the street, but the shoes! On a good week, we’re basically living in DSW.
The thing is, while I absolutely get the impulse to leave old shoes on the curb — even when they’re in no condition to donate, you can’t just throw shoes away – I’ve never once (maybe once) seriously contemplated taking a pair from the street. Which I guess is mostly about not being able to wash them?
But maybe I’m completely wrong! Maybe shoes are the new books?
