After an entire week off from school, parents have another day with the kids today as the city’s public schools are closed for election day. Here’s a fun option for cooped up children: The Lefferts Historic House in Prospect Park is having an Election Day Celebration today from 1-4pm:
Too young to vote in today’s election? Not here! Get a chance to experience the thrill of voting. Mark your “ballot” for your favorite candidate, then enjoy a slice of election cake. We’ll open the ballot box and announce the results at 4pm.
Which reminds us that a couple of weeks ago we ran into some students from Poly Prep on 7th Avenue, where they were doing their own polling. Anyone know what their results were?
