Not to harp on it, but did you guys know that Thanksgiving is less than a week away? Luckily for us, the Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket is providing two more chances to stock up before the big meal. Stop by today at the market’s regular time and make sure to check in at the info tent for a chance to win a free turkey! Or, for the last-minute shoppers among us, head to the bonus Wednesday market, running from 8am-4pm on November 21.

If you’re a little unsure of what exactly you’re going to do with all those fresh ingredients, pick up the Greenmarket Holiday Recipe Packet at the market today or Wednesday, or check it out online.

Food scrap and textile recycling is back today (but will be off on Wednesday). Also, Donate-A-Bag is on again to help those affected by Sandy, so please continue to drop off bags of fresh produce at the info tent.

The search for Thanksgiving goodies continues at the Park Slope Farmers Market on Sunday, where you can decide exactly which squash – kabocha? delicata? butternut vs. buttercup? – is right for you. And if you’d like a little bit of a drink with your meal (or perhaps to help you prepare for that meal) Brooklyn Winery will be around with some reds and whites.

The GAP Greenmarket runs Saturdays from 8am-4pm at Grand Army Plaza. The Park Slope Farmers Market runs Sundays from 10am-4pm along 4th Street at 5th Ave.
