Summer is the perfect time for no-cook cooking! At the Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket this morning, they’re ditching the hot stove and hopping on the bike blender to whip up some delicious, market-fresh smoothies, featuring fruit and yogurt from our farmers. Stop by the Market Information tent from 10:30am to 1pm to pedal and taste!
And it’s an exciting day at the Park Slope Farmers’ Market tomorrow, where they’ve just added four new vendors. Check out Butterstein’s Popcorn, which sells New England maple syrup-flavored kettle corn from their custom-built popcorn-mobile; Drink More Good, which creates and sells bitters and soda syrups with all-natural ingredients; Eden Fresh, creators of delicious vegetarian Mediterranean items like hummus, baba ganoush, falafel, and more; and Stone & Thistle Farm, the vibrant livestock farm with hundreds of sheep, chickens, turkeys, rabbits, goats, ducks, pigs, and a herd of about thirty cattle.
The GAP Greenmarket runs Saturdays from 8am-4pm at Grand Army Plaza. The Park Slope Farmers Market runs Sundays from 10am-4pm along 4th Street at 5th Ave
