There’s a lot of temptation on our Park Slope streets in the form of catchy chalkboards and wafting aromas, but one announcement recently made us do a double-take. Every Monday and Wednesday night from 4-10pm, Faros– the two-storied Greek restaurant at 7th Avenue and Berkeley Place– offers a free bottle of wine with the purchase of two entrees.
A whole free bottle! For what you were most likely going to order anyway! (Unless you’re dining solo, in which case– grab a friend! Make a date! Free booze is the best excuse to get social on a weeknight.)
And if you’re having a hard time choosing your entree, may we suggest the Spitikos Mousakas ($17)? With potatoes, eggplant, zucchini, cinnamon-spices ground sirloin, baked in a clay pot and topped with a yogurt sauce, it is well-deserving of the “Greek comfort food” title.
