Looking for something fun to do to get you through the middle of the week? It won’t be snowing for once, so get out there and enjoy it:

The Culinary Cocktail: Seasonal Drinking And Preserving
When: Tuesday, February 18, 7pm
Where: Central Library, InfoCommons Lab, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: Rescheduled from January (because of — you guessed it — snow), this is part two of a fun three-part series about spirits in the city. Led by local bartender Benjamin Zorn, it focuses on cocktails that use local produce (even in the winter months), including how to preserve summer flavors through infusions and syrups. Free samples to those who are over 21!

Union Street Screening Series
When: Tuesday, February 18, 7pm
Where: Spoke the Hub, 748 Union Street
What: Still riding the wave of Valentine’s Day, they’ll be screening shorts films with a romantic edge (heads up, some contain mild sexual content and strong language): After You Left by Jef Taylor (teaser above), Love Squirts by Adam R. Brown, Dog by Jonathan J. Johnson, No Action by Zach Lennon-Simon, and Mon Reve Familiar by Jimmy Ferguson.
How much: $10 suggested donation

Knitting & Crocheting
When: Wednesday, February 19, 4pm
Where: Park Slope Library, 431 6th Avenue
What: Guard against the never-ending winter by making yourself some woolly accessories. This group wants to help you learn how.
How much: Free!

Trivia Night
When: Wednesday, February 19, 7:30pm
Where: Whole Foods, 214 3rd Street
What: Head to the grocery’s second floor space called The Roof to test your knowledge at this event from Trivia NYC – there’s a promise of awesome prizes. Get there a little early to register your team and get a seat, or to register in advance, email Stephanie.Long@wholefoods.com.

The Mighty Hannibal Tribute Night 
When: Wednesday, February 19, 8pm
Where: The Bell House, 149 7th Street
What: DJs including Mr. Fine Wine, Dave the Spazz, and Debbie D will spin tunes by the late, great Mighty Hannibal. Friends and fans will speak — bring photos, and share memories.
