This Saturday, February 9, New York Methodist Hospital invites families to come and dance for heart health. The day will be filled with adult and family dance classes and performances led by industry professionals like Tao Porchon-Lynch, the world’s oldest yoga instructor, and two-time World Salsa Champion Anya Katsevman. Classes include yoga, zumba, salsa, ballroom, belly dancing, ballet, hip-hop and more.
Your $10 entry fee also gets you a health screening, which includes blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, body mass index, and a brown bag medication review. Light refreshments will be served, face-painting will be available for the kids, and everyone leaves with a goodie bag.
The event will be held at the Hospital’s Carrington Pavilion (506 Sixth Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m. Admission is $10; children 12 and under are free. To register, or for more information, go to nym.org/dance or call (855) 696-9355.
