The annual Park Slope Civic Council Halloween Parade is back this year, and it’s getting literary. This year’s theme, To Boo or Not to Boo, invites neighbors to come dressed up as favorite fictional characters.
The parade, which was cancelled last year due to Hurricane Sandy, brings elected officials, Civic Council trustees, and of course costumed residents together to celebrate the holiday. Volunteers and merchants along 7th and 5th Avenues will be on hand with an abundance of sweets and treats for trick-or-treating kids, and giant puppets and live bands round out the experience.
The parade kicks off at 6:30pm on Thursday, October 31 at 14th Street and 7th Avenue, turns west on 3rd Street and ends at the Old Stone House and Washington Park. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
