Is the whole sit-down dinner date not really your thing? Or have you perhaps (whoops!) missed the window for Valentine’s reservations? No worries. There are plenty of options for celebrating your love in more creative ways. Here are our picks for alternative Valentine’s Day dates:
Valentine’s Day Special at The Painted Pot
Where: 72 Seventh Avenue at Berkeley Place
When: 6:00 -10:00 p.m.
What: Grab your sweetie and paint some pottery. It’ll be just like that scene in Ghost, except neither of you will be ghosts (I’m assuming). And you won’t be creating the pottery, just painting it. But still! So romantic! Complimentary wine and chocolates will be served.
How much: $8 studio fee per painter, individual prices range from $6-60 depending on the chosen piece of art.

What: Drop in at the origami studio and try your hands at the art of paper folding. Just choose a template and color and get folding. Maybe even learn how to make this wreath of hearts! The studio also provides markers and stamps for decorating your creations.

When: Tuesday, February 12 at 7:00 p.m.

Complimentary strawberries and champagne will be available, and the first ten customers will get gift bags.
