Local health center Triomph Fitness is teaming up with health coach Mary Cauchard for a series of holistic health workshops. The first of the series, Eating for Energy in the New Year, is coming up this Saturday, January 12 at 11:00am. The press release describes the event as both educational and motivational, teaching guests why they crave the foods they do, and how they to control the urges:
“Participants will gain a greater understanding of why we crave various foods, how the most popular sugary snacks actually decrease our energy, and about the cycle of addiction from energy ups and downs that occur through our typical lifestyle and diet. In addition to understanding why we overindulge in sweet foods, participants learn what alternatives exist to the typical way of indulging in sugars and unhealthy snacks to make it though the day and night.”
The workshop promises nutritional tips for more energy, concentration, and focus. Its leader, Mary Cauchard, is a New York-based health coach, focusing on proper nutrition, alternative diets, and ideal body image.
