The Hip Tot Music Fest is rocking out with Alex & the Kaleidoscope Band this Sunday March 10 at Littlefield, and Stoop readers have a chance to see them for free!

The Kaleidoscope band (pictured above) brings “an electrifying communal experience” with their lively, interactive, world music-infused songs about relationships, emotions, the national world, and  good old-fashioned fun. Joining the band is another “kindie” favorite, Amelia Robinson of Mil’s Trills, bringing ukelele-led sing-alongs into the mix.

Get to Littlefield early to catch all of the pre-show entertainment, featuring performances from Jeté Dance Center and storytime with children’s author and illustrator Melanie Hope Greenberg. Throughout the show, kids can enjoy face painting, glitter tattoos, crafts, and a giant cardboard castle.

The best part? Hip Tot is offering Park Slope Stoop readers a chance to win free tickets for a family of four! To enter the giveaway, just comment below by Thursday March 7 at midnight, and on Friday morning we’ll randomly choose a winner.

Make sure you’re logged in with an email account you check regularly; if we can’t get in touch with you to let you know you’ve won, we’ll have to move on to someone else. Good luck!

622 Degraw Street between 3rd & 4th Avenues; 12:30 p.m. (12:00 doors); tickets in advance are $8 for kids and $10 for adults, available here; at the door, pay $10 for kids and $12 for adults.

This looks like a lot of fun. Great venue! I’ll be going there for Punderdome tomorrow.
