Australia Day is this Saturday, January 26, so let’s deal with the cold by pretending we’re in a much warmer place. Where better to do that than Sheep Station? The Australian bar and restaurant will be celebrating with a day-long affair, with food specials including braised lamb shank, sausage rolls, and Lamingtons (traditional chocolate and coconut sponge-cake dessert). You can also give the hands-free meat-pie-eating competition a shot; winner receives a $50 bar tab.
Or, enter the meat tray raffle for a chance to win– you guessed it– a tray of meats:
“It’s a typical Australian event,” co-owner Jason Crew tells us. The lucky winner will take home “pretty much everything”– an assortment of steaks, sausages, bacon, lamb chops, and more.
The bar is also celebrating with an all-day happy hour. Suffice it to say you probably want to go with an appetite.
