Home goods shop Sterling Place has officially at 148 Seventh Avenue. This is the third and largest location for the Brooklyn business– which specializes in rare and artful housewares, curios, and furniture– and they’ve filled the the space beautifully.
“We knew we were ready for a new location,” says owner Elizabeth Crowell. “And now we’re right in the heart of Park Slope. We’re really excited.”
At 1,400 square feet– almost twice the size of the store’s South Slope location at 10th Street and 7th Avenue– the space is large enough to showcase some of the carefully selected larger pieces. Right now they’ve got four couches and three kitchen tables available in store, not to mention the bookcases, desks, and hutches lining the walls.
Smaller wares– coasters, frames, clocks, books, and more– are arranged on new custom built-in shelves, as designed by a former employee. All of it makes for an enviable display that just begs to be incorporated into your own home.
You can get an idea of the shop’s eclectic collection here, but swing by and check it out in person when you get a chance, too. Browsing is half the fun.
