The Feldenkrais Center of Park Slope has moved from its 5th Avenue location to 426 4th Avenue, between 7th and 8th Avenues. The somewhat mysterious center– which offered classes in the Feldenkrais method of “somatic education,” aimed to “reconnect [people] with their natural abilities to move, think and feel”– is currently being listed by the owner, whom you can reach at (718) 857-0635.
The move brings another vacancy to the block’s growing collection of empty spots. The former Body Unique space at 384 5th Avenue is still looking for a new tenant, and the long-vacant Brooklyn Bread space is in the process of becoming a Malaysian restaurant.
In a perfect world, we as residents could handpick businesses to move into the neighborhood. It’s not a perfect world, but let’s pretend! What would you like to see in the empty spaces? A karaoke bar? A non-karaoke bar? A used bookstore? A dim sum spot? Something else beyond our wildest imaginations? Let us know in the comments!
